SASSA will likely be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it really is alarmed regarding the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The support stage designed for intervention activities here a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
